2016 NFL Conference Championship Game Picks Against the Spread

The first two weeks of the NFL Playoffs have been profitable for sports information traders. Our picks against the spread on Sunday went 2-0 as we correctly called for the Under in the Broncos game and the Carolina Panthers -2 points. This week things get even more difficult but that is why you work with an adviser here. The help we bring you is the difference that sets sharps apart from squares.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos – 3:05 PM – Two familiar faces will once again meet for the AFC Conference Championship when Tom Brady and his Patriots travel to the Mile High city to take on Peyton Manning and the Broncos. The two future Hall of Famers are 5-5 in their last 10 meetings, but Tom Brady is only 2-6 in his career at Mile High Stadium, where they’ll play on Sunday. The cold will likely be a factor, once again, as the Broncos had to overcome the bitter cold conditions last week in their 4th quarter comeback win against the Steelers. The offense seemed sluggish for much of the game, and the receivers were a big part of that with quite a lot of drops throughout the game. In the end, the defense did what it has done all season and made a big play by causing a fumble by Steelers running back Fitzgerald Toussaint, which lead to the go-ahead score. The Patriots had a much easier time at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, as they jumped out to a big lead and wouldn’t relinquish it throughout. Broncos vs Patriots should be another instant classic as the top two AFC seeds will decide who wins a trip to the Super Bowl to take on either the Carolina Panthers or the Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers – 6:40 PM – In the NFC, the Conference Title game will feature a rematch of last year’s Wild Card game between the Cardinals and Panthers. Last year, Cardinals’ starting QB Carson Palmer missed the playoff game due to injury, but things will be different this year as both teams enter relatively healthy. Carson Palmer is having one of his best years as a pro, and the Cardinals are absolutely loaded on offense with a number of big play weapons. They’ll be facing one of the best defenses in the league, especially the Panthers’ secondary, which is lead by shutdown corner Josh Norman. On the offensive side of the ball, the Panthers are lead by quarterback Cam Newton who has a decent supporting cast around him with the likes of Jonathan Stewart and Greg Olsen, but he’s clearly the piece that makes the machine tick as he’s many people’s favorite for the MVP award this year. Both teams are very balanced on both sides of the ball, and this favors to be a slugfest from the opening whistle. Carson Palmer will look to avenge his team’s loss in the playoffs last year, as Cam Newton will look to put a cherry on top of this MVP-worthy season as the two square off for a chance to face the New England Patriots or the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
