Accumulator: A bet that is being built up because the bettor is desingating different selections in multiple races or events where the amount one becomes the bettors wager on the next match or race.

Action: Any amount bet on a game or match with a bookmaker. With Major League Baseball gambling the bet is valid regardless of the starting pitchers where a player being scratched in other sports wagers may cancel out the wager.

Covering the Spread: Winning a bet or prediction that the bookmakers created to even out the odds of who will win the game.
