Griffin Investigations

Up until 2005 there was a private group that always had eyes on the Las Vegas, Nevada casinos and that company was known as Griffin Investigations. The company would publish a book known as the Griffin Book and supply this to all of the local southern Nevada casinos. As you can imagine even while being a reclusive sports bettor Jon Price wound up on the Griffin Investigations radar and was heading toward the Black Book from Sportsbooks for the amount of money that he continued to win each and every year from different sportsbooks until they would recognize him.

The company ended up going out of business in 2005 due to lawsuits from players that felt they were unfairly targeted by the casino investigators. Today a “Black Book” still exists and is predominantly for keeping out gambling rings and organized crime members. There are a select few that have the notoriety and status of being closely watched when they enter into a casino or sportsbook and those as you probably already know are Billy Walters & Jon Price for their skills at betting on sports and the high stakes wagers that they place.

Jon Price has been quoted as saying that Cantor gaming the largest sportsbook operator in Southern Nevada has a high regulation and control on wagers placed and can often limit and not allow a bet to go through when he tries to place it directly. There are fail safes put into place to stop successful sharp sports bettors like himself and one even without Griffin Investigations and the Griffin Book being published anymore the entire sports betting community still knows and fears Jon Price.
