Brian Neal
Brian Neal has been covering sports at the collegiate and professional levels for over four years now, and has a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications from Lewis University. Football and basketball are his passions, and he’ll be covering those two sports exclusively.
Brian Graduated from Lewis University’s May 2014 class; studied Mass Communications on a print and online journalism track (3.32 GPA; graduated on time).
During his education at Lewis University he Interned for Rant Media Network as a copy editor, and was hired three months later. Worked from September 2013 to December 2015 as part of the editing team before parting ways after company reorganization. Also wrote over 100 articles, mostly on the NFL and NBA, for RantSports.com.
Thereafter he began writing for Classicalite.com in October 2015 to present. Over 230 articles published to date on various sports, including NFL, NBA, MLB, College Football and Basketball.
Brian is an experienced sports writer and copy editor, doing both for much of the past five years between school and freelance work. Adept at using AP Style, WordPress and proper citations for online publications. He also has experience in the newsroom as well at Lewis, working as the Assistant Sports Editor (2012-13) and the Sports Editor (2013-14).
Brian has also contributed to FanSided a popular Football, Basketball, and Baseball news website.
